Chronicle is a personal journaling app for iPhone and Mac. This policy explains what data the app uses and how it is handled.
Chronicle stores the content you create: journal entries (title, body text, creation date, and modification date), tags you apply to entries, and which entry is pinned.
No other data is collected. Chronicle does not collect analytics, crash reports, usage statistics, device identifiers, or any personally identifiable information beyond what you explicitly write.
Your data is stored in two places:
There is no Chronicle server or backend. Your data never passes through any system I operate.
Chronicle does not share your data with any third parties. iCloud sync is handled entirely by Apple. Apple's privacy practices are described in the Apple Privacy Policy.
You can delete individual entries at any time within the app. To remove all Chronicle data from iCloud, go to Settings → [your name] → iCloud → Manage Account Storage and delete Chronicle's data. Uninstalling the app removes the local copy from that device.
Chronicle does not knowingly collect any information from children under 13.
If this policy changes materially, the updated version will be posted at this URL with a revised date.
